PREVACID has established safety.

Prevacid is generally well tolerated. Like other medications, it can have some side effects. The most frequently reported side effects with Prevacid in children 12 months through 11 years old were constipation and headache, and in adolescents 12 through 17 years old were headache, abdominal pain, nausea and dizziness. In adults, the most common side effects were diarrhea, abdominal pain and nausea.
